The Adorable Ginger neck is a beautiful cable neck, with a high double folded neck in twisted rib 1x1. It’s knitted back and forth, from the back up, over the shoulders and down the front. An opening is worked for the neck which you will make by picking up stitches along the neckline.

Workflow
You first work the back, for which you cast on stitches using the italian cast on. You then work the hem in double twisted rib and continue working the back in a cable pattern. At the shoulders, you will split the shoulders (by casting off some stitches in the center) and work left and right shoulder separately, whilst shaping the neckline by making increases. In a next step you will join the right and left shoulders again, by casting on new stitches in between. You continue working the front back and forth in the established cable pattern. The front hem is worked in double twisted rib. Stitches are cast off with the tubular bind off technique. In a final step, the neck is made. Stitches are picked up and the neck is worked in the round in double twisted rib 1x1. All the necessary charts are included in the pattern.
The Ginger Neck is a perfect match with the Ginger Hat. It will be a favourite winter set!
