The Grace Cardigan is a simple, classic raglan cardigan with a crew neck, balloon sleeves and purl edge details.

Designed for a relaxed, slightly oversized fit, the Grace Cardigan has a straight OR gently tapered silhouette with shaping through the body. The pattern includes instructions for both the straight and tapered body. The balloon sleeves have beautiful decrease details before ending in a cuff in 1x1 rib stitch.

More info

The Grace Cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down, with the neckline, hem, and cuffs finished in a classic 1x1 rib stitch. The body and sleeves are knit in stockinette stitch, and the edges are completed with an elegant Italian bind-off for a refined look. The button band is worked in double knitting.

You could also use all the yarn combos I’ve used for both the Grace Sweater (crew neck), Grace Sweater (V-neck), and Grace Cardigan (V-neck), as they all have the same gauge.

Sizes

XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL

The Grace Cardigan is an oversized cardigan with a positive ease of approx. 15.5 - 16.5 cm (6 - 6.5 inches) compared to the body bust circumference. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL correspond to a bust circumference (of the body) of approx. 74 (84) 94 (104) 114 (124) 134 (144) 155 cm (29.25 (33) 37 (41) 45 (48.75) 52.75 (56.76) 61 inches) respectively. Keep in mind that the final measurements of the cardigan already take these extra 15.5 - 16.5 cm (6 - 6.5 inches) into account. Ease is a personal preference.
